Night Out: Brett Dennen First Tap

Photographer and reviewer Quinn Bennett took in the April First Tap at Beartooth Theatrepub on Thursday, April 4. He had this to say about the show:

It may not have been the best show for a rowdy First Tap crowd, but Brett Dennen definitely had the crowds attention. He had the audience singing along to songs “Ain’t No Reason” and “She’s Mine.” He ended with “Blessed Life,” which was amazing. His stage presence was quirky and strange, but it was great. Dennen was drinking tequila out of a mug all night, which began to show as the night went on. His banter between songs began to drag on and at times not make sense. However he played incredibly throughout the show, not letting the alcohol touch his musical abilities. I believe he may be a muggle member of the Weasley family who traded magic in favor of musical ability. He also promised to come back with his band by the end of this year.
